Milwaukee: Milwaukee police are investigating a new and unusual case of animal cruelty. A woman allegedly got mad at her boyfriend and took her anger out on his pets. Ten-year-old Mrs. Gee is being treated at the animal emergency center in Milwaukee after an incident on Saturday afternoon when a woman smashed her on the pavement. Mrs. Gee was lucky. The other turtle was killed. The turtles were the woman's boyfriend's pets. Police said she did this as an act of revenge. When WISN 12 News talked to the boyfriend Monday afternoon, he said he just didn't want to talk about it. But the veterinarian who is treating Mrs. Gee said she is pretty disgusted. "Boy that's like the worst thing in my mind. It's unbelievable that people would do something like that, I mean, they're completely harmless creatures. They can't defend themselves, and it's like hurting a child. It's in the same category to me," Dr. Maria Lichtenberger said. The turtle, Mrs. Gee, is expected to make a full recovery.
