Titel: Everglades Bericht door: Nicho op 28 Mei 2012, 17:39:05 Hallo allemaal,
voor mijn werk zit ik vaak in het buitenland en daar maak ik dan ook graag gebruik van om lokaal op zoek te gaan naar wat fauna. Zo zat ik vorige week 1,5 dagen in Miami en de keuze was dan ook snel gemaakt om een auto te huren en vlug even naar de Everglades te rijden. Doordat mei het einde van het droog seizoen was, zaten de dieren geconcentreerd in de droge poelen wat het makkelijk maakt om iets te zien. Ik ben naar Shark Valley gereden waar een pad loopt door een stuk van het park (zo'n 30km lang) waar je te voet, met de fiets of met een speciale busje door kunt. Er waren Florida redbelly's (Pseudemys Nelsoni), Florida Softshell (Trionyx ferox), alligators, reigers, aalscholvers en vooral kristalheldere waterpoelen te zien.
